After Achieving Excellent Performance, Pirelli's Elect Tire Will Enter the Replacement Market

ELECT™ tires, Pirelli innovation products for electric vehicles, and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, originally targeted as original equipment manufacturer products, are now made available for the replacement market as well.

According to Tirechina.net, Pirelli's partnership with many car manufacturers has contributed to the ELECT™ tire series' high coverage rate in the high-end market. Car manufacturers approved more than 250 products of ELECT™ tires as original tires last year, more than twice as many as in 2020. This figure highlights that the Pirelli brand is the manufacturer with the largest certified share of EV and PHEVs.

After achieving excellent performance in the original market, ELECT™ tires began to tap into the replacement to ensure their product lineup can always satisfy the needs of the accelerating EV market. The ultimate goal is to apply ELECT™ tires technology to summer, four seasons, and winter tires in the P Zero, Cinturato, and Scorpion series.
